HPDP Weekly Awareness Discusssions
#NativeAmericans are disproportionately affected by #diabetes, and other #chronicillnesses like #highbloodpressure and #highcholesterol. Often the warning signs and risk factors associated with chronic illnesses such as #cardiovasculardisease, and #diabetes are not made aware to individuals. To increase awareness among #NativeAmericans about the health risks associated with #prediabetes, high blood pressure, and high blood cholesterol we will be holding weekly discussions on each topic:
 
 
 
Streaming Daily MONDAY – FRIDAY 11am
 
Increasing an individual’s perceived susceptibility to high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, and high blood cholesterol are important in influencing the decision-making process in choices individuals will make when it comes to their #health.
These conditions are all reversible, and adopting #preventative health behaviors can help reduce the risk of future occurrence.
