In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the GLIIHC DVPI Circles of Strength Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program participated in the City of Milwaukee’s Denim Day Press Conference to share information on prevention and treatment services available to the community. Believing survivors, putting an end to victim blaming and shaming, the importance of obtaining consent from others, and healing the mind, body, and spirit were common themes highlighted amongst the presenters.
