#Mentalhealth experts are concerned over potential long-term ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the psychosocial health of people worldwide. For some, prolonged feelings of anxiety or depression, a lack of social connection, job uncertainty, or food insecurity during the pandemic are unlikely to dissipate with the loosening of social restrictions. A disproportionate impact could be seen in some individuals, including #LGBTQ+ people or those who experience violence at home, as well as Black, Latinx, and #Indigenous communities more heavily affected by the pandemic.
