To better serve our community’s changing needs for health services, STARTING  JUNE 2, the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center will have new hours of operation.

MEDICAL, DENTAL, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, PHYSICAL THERAPY, FITNESS CENTER
Monday – Thursday:
8am – 6pm
Friday: 8am – 12pm
PHARMACY
Monday – Thursday: 9am – 6pm
Friday: 9am – 1pm
*We will be closed for lunch, 12pm – 1pm.
**All evening programs WILL CONTINUE their regularly scheduled hours.

The Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center will now be using Care Message to send out appointment reminders by text message to our patients. Patients will be updated on their scheduled appointment times, and will be able to confirm or cancel a scheduled appointment all from their cell phone.

Our professional pharmacists and technicians are an important member of your Care Team. They provide you with important information about the medications you are prescribed and coordinate your care with your primary care provider and Behavioral Health Care provider to promote safe, quality patient care.

Congratulations to the 15 people who completed the Get Fit Challenge in July! We had a raffle for fitness trackers and want to congratulate the four winners. Another Get Fit Challenge will begin in late 2025; watch for updates soon! We appreciate the support from the American Cancer Society for this project.

Tribal Elder Food Boxes from the Great Lakes Intertribal Food Coalition will be distributed in the GLIIHC main lobby this Friday, September 5, between 11am - 1pm.

*Must be 55 years of age or older.

*Must be present for pick up with tribal I.D. between the hours of 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or until boxes are gone. Due to high demand, boxes cannot be reserved or set aside under any circumstances. (Elders with tribal I.D. will be served first. If we still have boxes available after 11:30am, Native patients without tribal I.D. are welcome to pick up a box.)

*Boxes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Check in with staff as you arrive.
