14th Annual Red Shawl Gala

This year’s Red Shawl Gala theme was “A Legacy of Native Health Under One Roof,” said Dr. Lyle Ignace, of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin and the Coeur D’Alene Tribe of Idaho.

At the Red Shawl Gala, GLIIHC Board Chair Steven Ninham, shared a year-in-review with the 400+ people in attendance.

  • Received an Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) in which within the Indian Health System, of the 35 Urban Indian Health Centers (UIHC) the GLIIHC is one of six Urban Indian Health Centers who have been Fully Accredited by AAAHC as a Health Care Entity.
  • Certificate or recognition from NCQA – National Committee for Quality Assurance for Systematic Use of Patient – Centered, Coordinated Care Management Processes making us the only Urban Indian Clinic in the nation with this certification.

“I would have to say that with no uncertainty, that our clinic is leading the way and making history as being the leader in our industry,” Ninham said. “This makes me and our Board of Directors very proud of all of the staff and the work that they do under the leadership of Dr. Lyle Ignace.
